EAST COAST
Nydri Beach
Nydri Beach is located in front of the popular seaside settlement of Nydri, approximately 5 km from Nikiana and 16 km from Lefkada Town. The beach is organized with sunbeds, umbrellas, and beach bars, and is surrounded by numerous restaurants, fish taverns, cafés, and small tourist shops.
The shore is a mix of sand and small pebbles, with calm and shallow waters, making it an excellent choice for families with children. The location is protected from strong winds, ensuring safe swimming and relaxing conditions.

WEST COAST
Kathisma Beach
Kathisma Beach is located on the west coast of Lefkada, about 14 km from Lefkada Town. It is one of the island’s most famous beaches, known for its long stretch of white sand and striking turquoise waters. The scenery is open and dramatic, especially during sunset.
The beach is partly organized with sunbeds, umbrellas, and several beach bars and restaurants, but it also has free areas where you can enjoy the wild beauty of the west coast. The waters here can be deeper and wavier than on the east side, which makes it popular for paragliding and other water sports.
Kathisma is accessible by car, with parking areas above the beach, and a short walk down to the shore.
Other popular beaches in Lefkada
On the west coast of Lefkada, you will find some of the island’s most spectacular beaches, famous for their turquoise waters and dramatic cliffs. The waves can be stronger here, offering a wilder, more untamed beauty compared to the calmer east coast.
The most iconic is Porto Katsiki, located at the southern tip of the west coast. It is known for its striking white cliffs, crystal-clear waters, and the unique staircase descent that leads you to the beach. Egremni Beach is another highlight, stretching for over two kilometers with fine white sand and deep blue waters, reached by a long series of steps.
Near Agios Nikitas, Milos Beach is accessible either by a short boat ride or a scenic hiking path. It is less crowded than other west coast beaches, offering soft sand, emerald waters, and a peaceful atmosphere.
